Tomball
The Hometown with a Heart, with a preserved historic downtown
Tomball is a small city about 30 miles northwest of Houston with a preserved historic downtown and a genuinely small-town pace. German settlers and railroad history shaped it, oil brought it fame as Oil Town U.S.A. in the 1930s, and today it is known as The Hometown with a Heart.

Schools
Tomball ISD enrolls roughly 22,000 students across more than 20 campuses and carries a strong reputation in northwest Harris County. The classic Tomball trade-off is charming older homes near the historic core versus newer construction along the corridor edges.
Commute
There is no direct highway into downtown from Tomball, so the drive relies on SH 249 and, often, toll roads. Expect about 35 to 45 minutes in light traffic and more during rush hour.
Lifestyle
The downtown square hosts a beloved farmers market, the Railroad Depot Museum, the Tomball Museum Complex, and Kleb Woods Nature Preserve sits just outside town. Holiday parades, community events, and antique shops give Tomball an identity you can feel the first time you visit.
